Welcome to Wilkinson Letter to Parents
September 8th , 2015
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Bonjour!
I would like to take this opportunity to say hello and to inform you of the rules and procedures that will be part of your child’s daily routine. Your child will be expected to have an agenda book (planner), the school offers one at the cost of $5. Each day, students will write their homework in their agenda and I will check it before they leave. Also, by checking the agenda at home, you can help your child with time management. An agenda also serves as another form of communication between yourself and the teacher.
Students are on a five–day rotation and there is a schedule that is attached. School starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:20 pm. Please note on your calendar which days are Gym and Music days to ensure that proper attire / equipment is brought to school.
As for items that students need in class, I highly recommend finding an accordian folder or medium-sized binder. It is a great way to keep notes organized. As well, a small ruler, a French dictionary, compass set, coloured pencil crayons and markers would also benefit your child.
There will not be daily homework that gets assigned, instead your child is responsible for reading on a daily basis, completing project or unfinished work from the day. If your child is having difficulty with completing assignments, please let me know right away so that I can help.
Students have the following responsibilities:
-to be on time for class -to be prepared for class
-to have and show respect to peers and teachers -to respect the school and its property
-to complete homework, assignments, -to bring the agenda to class everyday
projects on time -to listen and follow direction
-to ask parents to sign agenda -to participate in all subjects
Merci beaucoup!
Mme Jim
